ADVANCED HIGH FASHION RUNWAY - PreTeens - Teens and Adults

The Julie Nation Academy's Advanced High Fashion Runway Program (also called our Julie Nation "Troupe") is a 20-hour training comprised of runway choreography, fashion styles and coordination, teamwork, make-up, and lecture. In-house performances and opportunity to be spotlighted in public fashion shows are included, including holiday, bridal, cruise wear, back-to-school, designer shows, etc.

The goal of this course is to develop and strengthen one's personal growth and confidence in performing in front of a live audience. Within this course of study there will be a variety of cultural themes, which involve cultural dance movement and music.

The objective is to prepare the student for modeling at a more advanced level with an array of terminology and chorographical skills, so that within the industry the student can model and choreograph professionally.

Pre-requisite: Graduate of the Professional Modeling Course at Julie Nation Academy and auditioning for the instructor.

5:00 - 7:00 pm Senior Troupe - ages 13 and older

Advanced High Fashion Runway In-Depth Course Outline

Review of Posture, Poise, Turns, and Poses
A review of posture, poise, turns, and poses is given to refresh the student's memory. Any practice or refreshers will be given as needed.

Routines of 5,10,30 minutes in length for use in performances
Numerous routines of various lengths will be choreographed for use in different performances

Review of Partner Choreography
Different the versions of partner choreography is reviewed and practiced.

Solo and Group Choreography
Solo and group choreography will be given and practiced for various performances.

The Meaning of Team Work
The meaning of teamwork will not only be discussed but the students will also experience first hand when performing and practicing partner and group choreography.

Make-up, Hair, and Clothing Coordination
Coordinating the hair, make-up and clothes for different routines will be taught. This is a good tool that will be used in all walks of modeling.

Choreography for Specialty Stores
Choreography for special events such a tearoom modeling, trunk shows, and promotional modeling will be taught.

Cultural Fashion Application, i.e. Asian, Polynesian, Spanish
Various cultures will influence some of the choreography and themes for the performances.

Rehearsals for Fashion Shows
As the saying goes… practice makes perfect! Rehearsing will go on to make sure the students are comfortable and confident in the choreography for the fashion show(s).

Fashion Show(s) in Front of Live Audiences
The "Troupe" will have the chance to perform in front of live audiences and see what it actually feels like! This will help the students in the long run to learn what runway modeling in front of audiences is all about; from back stage to on the catwalk.
