TV Commercial and Film Acting - All Ages
The Julie Nation Academy's TV Commercial & Film Acting Workshop is a 20 hour training dedicated to each student's success in auditioning and performing, Film, TV, and commercials. On-camera performances and coaching by instructor help begin the process of becoming a professional film, television, and commercial actor.

The objective is for each student to become versatile in cold readings, auditions and interview skills, and to be able to perform a variety of roles suitable for film, television, and commercials, and be performing at a level of acting for local and national film, television and commercial projects. |

The Film/Television and Commercial Acting workshop classes are 2 hours per week for 10 weeks with a total of 20 instructional hours. The above subjects are taught with an on-camera, action-oriented format. Students of the program are eligible for Julie Nation Personal Management to agents and year round career development services to help secure auditions and potential jobs

TV Commercial and Film Acting - Silver Level In-Depth Course Description
On-camera Acting Techniques for TV Commercials
On-camera performances prepare the student with introduction to script reading and auditioning skills. The student uses actual TV commercials, and is taped on camera to be critiqued by the student and the instructor.
Auditioning and Interview Techniques
This will give the student a basic understanding of what an audition and interview will be like. Tips and techniques will be given to the student to help them be confident in their interview and auditioning skills.
Voice-Over Development
The tools of good speech are studied; breathing techniques, pronunciation, inflection, vocabulary choices, and emotion projection are all included. These will all be mastered in order to help develop voice-over skills.
Use of Props/Visual Presentation
Props are often used in acting and an understanding of the proper way to use them will be discussed and practiced. Having the knowledge of using props is a great skill to have.
Advanced Auditioning Techniques
A more in-depth practice and understanding of auditioning techniques will be reviewed, as an audition will decide whether or not you are right for the part.
Wardrobe/Make-up/Hair Workshop
The proper make-up, hair and clothing choices will be discussed for the different types of auditions and interviews. How you present yourself can be a important factor in auditioning.
Professional Tools for Career Building
Tips and Tools for building your acting tools from your instructor will be given. This knowledge of how to get ahead will be a very helpful and useful tool that the student will be able to use.
Posture and Visual Poise
Posture and body language is taught for each student to apply to their personal life as well as professional situations. In addition to creating healthy posture habits, effective body language communication is taught for job interviews, auditions, and stage presentations.
Resume Development
A sample resume will be given to the student. The student is then given the chance to go home and develop their resume to be reviewed in class.
