The Julie Nation Model and Talent Showcase has been developed into one of the Country's most prestigious events of its kind.
The Showcase is one of the major events in the industry where agents and casting directors scout for talent and models of all kinds and all ages - from
babies to senior citizens. Many participants of the Showcase get "call backs" because of the prestigious reputation the Julie Nation Showcase and
Convention has with agents, casting directors, and industry leaders, and the participant - you! - being well-prepared by Julie Nation Staff.
Please note that our Showcase provides an opportunity for talent to perform personally for agents, but does not guarentee employment or
registration/representation from an agent.

Application/Audition
The public is warmly invited to take advantage of the opportunity to be in the Showcase; you do not need to be a Julie Nation Academy graduate or
student. Registration is conducted daily, in-person in our corporate offices in Santa Rosa, or by mail.
Out-of-area Showcase Participants:
All are invited to participate in Showcase and be evaluated by agents for potential registration. Simply download the registration form, and return
with the registration fee to our address listed below... or call toll free (888)739-0177 and register by phone. Travel packages are available by
request to help maximize your Showcase experience.

You may receive our free, honest, evaluation prior to registering for Showcase by calling and arranging a 1/2 hour evaluation interview with
Julie Nation Staff.
Out-of-area interested candidates may send non-returnable snapshots or copies of photos, and your phone number. After recieved, we will call you
and complete your evaluation over-the-phone. These photos can also be e-mailed to julienation@julienation.com PLEASE REMEMBER TO E-MAIL YOUR

Agents are looking for all kinds of people, a wide variety of "looks," talent, sizes, ages, etc... that only they know, as they meet the needs of their
clients, who number in the thousands and include major retailers, magazines, newspapers, TV & commercials, movies, documentary films, brochures,
billboards, fashion shows, conventions, and a host of "behind-the-scenes" work, such as fitting models, extras for films, etc. We highly advise
participating in the Showcase and being directly seen by agents and casting directors.
Divisions and Requirements for Showcase:

Limited space available for Performance Divisions
Performance Divisions create new visions of you by the agents! All participants who have met the requirements and are approved to be in
the division aspect of Showcase will be able to enhance their presentations to the agents by these additional performances!
Acting Division:
If you desire to register to perform a monologue or a commercial for the Acting Division of Showcase you must schedule an audition
privately with a Julie Nation Acting coach, and arrange this by calling (707) 575-8585. Monologues and commercials must be no longer
than 1 minute in length and should showcase your acting abilities and be age appropriate. When you perform at Showcase, it will be in
front of a live audience and the Agents. Out-of-area participants may also audition by submitting a video or cassette, with a non-returnable
snapshot, to demonstrate your acting performance. You may also perform this audition over the telephone by calling (707) 575-8585.
Singing Division:
Staff approval through an audition is required, which can be arranged with Julie Nation staff at (707) 575-8585. To audition you may also
choose to submit a video tape with a song of your choice that is family appropriate and 16 bars or less. Out-of-area participants may also
audition by submitting a video or cassette, with a non-returnable snapshot, to demonstrate your singing performance. You will be contacted
with your evaluation and/or acceptance into the division of your choice. (Home videos are acceptable for this purpose)

Portfolio Division:
The Portfolio Division is our premier division to privately present to agents and casting directors portfolios that have been formatted
with the pride of a professional model or actor ready to go to work! Requirements for this division:
1. Professional portfolio book
3. Zed cards or actors are preferred, but not mandatory.
4. Professionally typed resume
5. Copy of entertainment work permit (if under 18 years old)
Individual Runway Division:
Your individual, stylized modeling walk, including choreographed routines, is presented on stage-and the lights are on you! Choose one
look: sport, daytime, sharp, or elegant.
· Free classes are available for approved modeling candidates to rehearse their routine by calling (707) 575-8585. Out of town
participants will have one of our professional runway teachers rehearse with them Friday evening, at the rehearsal at Julie Nation Academy
Studio.
Solo Dance Division:
Your stylized routine of 60 seconds or less, of the dance type of your choice, may be submitted through video tape or personal audition.
Remember to dress appropriately to enhance your dance!
Optional: Performance divisions are optional at an additional fee; you may present yourself to agents and be potentially
interviewed by them without actually performing. Photographs, a resume, and/or a portfolio are highly recommended for your presentation.
Also, out-of-area participants if interested in divisions, please submit a video or cassette, with a non-returnable snapshot, to demonstrate
your modeling routine, singing, acting, or dance performance. You will be contacted with you evaluation and/or acceptance into the division
of your choice. This may accompany your registration form or be sent separately for our evaluation.

Getting There
The Model & Talent Showcase and Conventions are held in Santa Rosa, California, in the heart of Sonoma County, better known as the Wine Country,
located 60 miles North of San Francisco, CA. Extensive choices of airlines are available for traveling to San Francisco or Oakland, CA.
Directions to Santa Rosa
Directions from the Oakland Airport
Take 880 North (towards Downtown Oakland) to East I-80 (I-580 West) towards Richmond & Sacramento. Here you need to be in the right lane to exit
I-80 to the Richmond Bridge on 580 West (to San Rafeal). After crossing the Richmond/San Rafael bridge, take 101 North to Santa Rosa.
Directions from San Francisco Airport
Take 101 North and an immediate exit on to the 380 interchange, then to 280 North towards San Francisco. This turns into 19th Ave. which is also Hwy
1. Follow that until you get to Hwy 101 North (look for the Golden Gate Bridge signs). Cross the Golden Gate bridge and take 101 North to Santa
Rosa.
Directions from the East Bay
Take 580 towards Richmond and San Rafael. Here you need to be in the right lane to exit on West 580 to the Richmond Bridge. Cross the bridge to San
Rafael. Take 101 North to Santa Rosa.
From the Sacramento Area
Take 80 West to Hwy 37, then 101 North to Santa Rosa.
Directions from Hwy 128/29 in St. Helena, Calistoga or Napa
Take a left on to Calistoga Road off of Hwy 128 in Calistoga and go towards Santa Rosa. Go for about 30 minutes. Take a right on to Highway 12/
Sonoma Highway. Continue and you will end up downtown Santa Rosa.

Make a left out of the Waterfall Towers parking lot. Turn left at the first light, Farmers Lane. Stay in the left of the two lanes and continue

Exit the parking lot and go straight through the 4th street/Sonoma Highway 12 intersection which will put your on Farmer's Lane. Stay in the left of
the two lanes and continue straight for about � of a mile. After the Highway 12 on-ramp is passed get into the right lane. Farmer's Lane
dead-ends into Bennett Valley Road. Turn right on Bennett Valley Road. Waterfall Towers will be on your right, once in the parking lot make an
immediate left to go to building A, Julie Nation Academy is suite 110A.

Traveling FROM Julie Nation Academy TO The Friedman Event Center
Make a left out of the Waterfall Towers parking lot. Turn left at the first light, Farmers Lane. Turn right onto Hoen Frontage Road and continue
straight onto Hoen Avenue. Turn left onto Yulupa Avenue, and take the second right onto Mayette Avenue. The Friedman Center is on the right, and you
will turn into the parking lot marked for the Friedman Center and drive around to the back.

Exit the parking lot and turn left onto Mayette Avenue. Turn left onto Yulupa Avenue, and take the first right onto Hoen Avenue. Continue onto Hoen
Frontage Road and take a left onto Farmer's Lane. Continue straight for about a quarter of a mile and Farmer's Lane dead-ends into Bennett Valley
Road. Turn right on Bennett Valley Road. Waterfall Towers will be on your right. Once in the parking lot make an immediate left to go to building A,

Traveling FROM The Flamingo Resort TO The Friedman Event Center
Head out of the Flamingo parking lot and go straight onto Farmer's Lane. Turn left onto Hoen Frontage Road and continue straight onto Hoen Avenue.
