Julie established Julie Nation Academy in 1972, has a BA in Psychology from Sonoma State University, was the recipient of the "Senate of California Rules Committee – Resolution for Outstanding Achievement in Education" and the City of Santa Rosa Proclamation Award. She is a past Executive Director of Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce, and a Motivational Speaker. Julie’s motivation in establishing Julie Nation Academy was and is to create a wholesome, supportive learning environment where students of all ages gain self-esteem, character development, the love of oneself, and respect for others.

 Dawn Jeffory-NelsonTop LA Acting Coach: Dawn has been hired by industry legends Steven Spielberg, Stephen King, Aaron Spelling, Michael Landon, and Chris Carter. She is known as a top-notch “Baby Whisperer” in Hollywood. Dawn was on-set coach for Mackenzie Rosman and all guest minors for the entire first seven seasons of 7th Heaven, coached 22 episodes of American Dreams, as well as mini-series, movies, and feature films.  Jody AlexanderClear Talent Group, Agent Jody has over 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry. She has worked with celebrities including Michael J. Fox, Drew Barrymore, Robin Williams, and Heather Locklear. Jody has discovered and helped establish young actors such as Elijah Wood, Efren Ramirez (Pedro in Napoleon Dynamite), Nathan Kress (Freddy in iCarly), Rico Rodriguez (Manny in Modern Family) and many others. She was previously signed with a top San Francisco agent through Showcase and has been featured on a 5-page spread in a Japanese catalog, a Twin Pine Casino Commercial, and was part of the 13th cycle of America’s Next Top Model, making it to the top 32 of about 50,000 women. She was Miss Sonoma County for the Miss America Organization in 2010 and received the People's Choice Award. |
 Shayne CoxShayne has performed and taught professionally in the arts since 1987. She began her professional dance career with the Los Angeles Laker girls and her teaching career with the United Spirit Association where she taught summer camps throughout the nation. Shayne’s coaching career included choreographing for dance teams and co-ed cheer squads in Northern and Southern California for 14 years. She enjoys sharing her insight from a talent perspective, as well as a parent in the industry. |  Robert RobbinsRobert is a Julie Nation graduate who has taken the entertainment industry by storm! His first film appearance was on the movie Twisted, followed by Cheaper by the Dozen, Be Cool, and a part in Lords of Dogtown starring Emile Hirsch and Heath Ledger. More recently, he has starred in the short film series Cop Out, was the lead in SandCastles released in 2010, and the lead in a documentary Fever. He is also working on the 2012 season of the hit TV show Mad Men. |  Deborah LumryTalent Scout & Showcase Consultant: Deborah, a former model, has coached runway modeling, talent, and speech presentations. Her daughter attended Julie Nation Academy and through our training was signed with a well known talent agency in San Francisco. She has worked in runway modeling, fit modeling, print modeling, television, and radio commercials. Deborah gleaned great knowledge in those years as she worked behind the scenes in accompanying her pre-teen daughter to all her work locations. |
 Scott LumryTalent Scout & Showcase Consultant: Scott and Deborah have been sought after judges in talent, modeling, and pageant competitions for over 20 years. Both Scott and Deborah have assisted in the Miss America Pageant by pre-interviewing the Sacramento contestants. Instilling a healthy self-esteem within children, teens, and adults is of the highest importance to Scott and Deborah. They believe that true beauty starts from within. |
